Italian restaurants in Prague continue to win worldwide accolades. Ambiente's Pizza Nuova was named one of the top pizzerias outside of Italy earlier this year, and now Aromi restaurant in Vinohrady has earned a spot on the prestigious 50 Top Italy, a list of the best Italian restaurants outside of Italy, for 2024.

Aromi came in at number 25 in the latest 50 Top Italy rankings, released earlier this month. Il Carpaccio in Paris clinched the top spot as the world's best Italian restaurant outside Italy, with Tokyo's Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura and Don Alfonso 1890 in Toronto claiming the second and third positions, respectively.

Aromi, established in 2005 by chef Riccardo Lucque, is celebrated for its commitment to top-tier ingredients and the import of authentic Italian products from local small suppliers. Since opening, the restaurant has specialized in fish and seafood, embodying genuine Italian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh and high-quality ingredients.

"Congratulations to the entire team for winning 25th place in the 50 Top Italy ranking - the best Italian restaurants outside Italy. We are proud of another beautiful success," Aromi wrote on Facebook earlier this month.

"It is a reward for the top quality that the Riccardo Lucque restaurant has been offering since its opening. Chef Marco Giampaoli and manager Petr Joska received the award for the Aromi restaurant at the Gran Galà della Cucina Italiana in Milan today. Come and enjoy the success with us, we look forward to seeing you at the table."

Aromi provides an authentic Italian dining experience in an upscale setting, offering a diverse menu featuring fresh freshwater and sea fish. During the summer season, patrons can enjoy an open garden with a grill. The location also boasts a wine shop with over 300 Italian wines and various types of grappa.

This latest recognition is not the first for Aromi. In 2005, the restaurant received a Condé Nast Traveler award for the best newly-opened restaurant in the Czech Republic and was listed among the world's top 10 newly-opened restaurants.

Aromi also won a Euro-Toques Food Award in 2017, usually reserved for Michelin-starred establishments, in acknowledgment of its commitment to seasonal and local ingredients. It was also awarded a prestigious Three Forks rating from Gambero Rosso magazine.

Aromi's inclusion in the latest 50 Top Italy list of best Italian restaurants outside of Italy reflects its consistent dedication to authentic Italian culinary excellence. The global recognition further solidifies Prague's status as a destination for exceptional dining experiences.
